My clinical work is focused on the intersection of pain, sleep, and emotional distress. I specialize in working with individuals living with chronic pain. This means that my work often involves addressing pain directly, such as working on themes such as grief and loss due to pain or building pain coping skills. Just as often, I work with individuals to address social and emotional struggles that might be contributing to their suffering, such as depression or anxiety. I primarily use Cognitive. Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia to treat sleep issues, and I have found clinical hypnosis to be a valuable tool in both the development of pain coping skills and in many other areas of my work.
